     Ally is one of my most favorite does....in every single way.
     Ironically, it was Kate Helms that alerted me that Ally was up for sale on CapraKoza's page. Immediately I contacted Jill Rudolph and thus began a wonderful relationship---as well as some terrific breeding stock. Lovely to look at and be around, Ally also has a near-perfect udder....she is simply a dream to milk. She has long teats, great orifices, terrific attachments, huge capacity, and wonderful milking manners.
     It was with Ally that I experienced my first kidding, and unfortunately, her beautiful buckling was still-born. Although, it was a very traumatic delivery, Ally earned a Milking Star on her first test.  Amazingly, she also ended up placing in the 2012 AGS National Top 10 in all four categories---a tribute to her high quality milking genetics.     The Lord turned it all around with Ally's next kidding---four beautiful doelings. And in her following lactation, she placed 2nd Nationally: Production by milking 5.3# and was 4th in Overall Score. In fact, in 2013, Ally milked almost 1100# and qualified for National Top 10 in the 305 Day Awards as well as the 1 Day Tests. In 2014, Ally blessed us with our 2nd set of QUINTS!!!! Although, we've read that Nigerians aren't able to successfully raise five babies, I felt pretty sure this sweet doe would be up to the task & she nursed them all---easily! And all five were fat and healthy.
     Because Ally kidded after March 1st, she missed the AGS 305 Deadline. You can tell by her numbers below (esp the 89# in BF), should put her very near to the top for 2015, Lord willing. Since she topped 1000# the last two lactations, we decided to give this sweet girl some time off and she will be bred for Fall of 2015. We were further blessed in the summer when Ally was one of three of our does to earn an E on her Linear Appraisal. We were stunned to find out later---Ally was also awarded with the Superior Genetics (SG) Designation. What made it extra special---Ally's Dam--Sugar Glider---also received her SG (at age 11). Glider has 3 additional daughters that appraised at 88, 90 & 91, along with two who are Finished. Superior genetics, indeed!!!!  
   In 2014, ALL four of Ally's 2012 daughters earned their Milking Stars, 3 also have their AR status. Salvation (aka Sally) milked over 1000# for both of her lactations and ended up being awarded Superior Genetics w a PE of 90%. Glory, another one of the quads looks to go well over 1000# in her 2nd lactation. What a blessing to see them walking in their mama's steps. I couldn't be any more grateful or proud of Allamanda. I am so thankful to Jill and the Rudolph family, as well as very appreciative to Kate... and happily, the Lord gets all the glory!!!!!!
